The Wunan Foundation is set to deliver a first-of-its-kind Aboriginal community-controlled low medical withdrawal service in Kununurra. This service will provide treatment options to support people with alcohol and other drug problems in the area.

The service will be supported by Wunan Health General Practitioners and local Aboriginal Health Practitioners providing a culturally secure holistic treatment to support local community overcome the adverse effects of alcohol and other drug use.

A comprehensive care plan will be developed with patients in liaison local referral agencies, followed up with a post treatment after care plan linking consumers to the Wunan’s Foundation range of services.
